2026, May: I will be offering a plein air class!  Details to follow.


2026, January: one of my paintings, Escalante to Navajo Mountain (see in available paintings) was accepted into an invitational show at the Sears Art Museum in St. George Utah.  Very exciting.  

5 December 2025.  First Friday and Holiday Sale, 5-8pm. 
Late for the Train, Flagstaff AZ.  New art works, books on regional and local natural history.  Hope to see you there.

Maybe the dayflowers will be blooming in the backyard!

Off  to southern Utah for a week, for a meet up of regional painters at Mt. Carmel, Maynard Dixon's stomping ground, and painting and taking in some of the most beautiful landscapes in the West., during the second half of June, 2025.  Lucky me.
I'll be sharing new works.  


Northern Arizona Book Festival speaking event. 12 April, Saturday, Fire Creek, 6-8pm.  I'll be reading from my 3 books on natural history.  

Flagstaff Farmers Market, city parking lot, 8-12p, Sundays til Oct.  I'll be selling my books on natural history and small landscape paintings.  

The Golden Mean, a study of symmetry.  Coconino Center for the Arts. 18 January through 15 February, 2025.  My paintings will be a part of this juried show, featuring more than 60 regional artists.  

Cumulus: The Art of Meteorology.  
          My work will be part of this juried art show at the Coconino Center for the Arts, Flagstaff AZ.  29 June-28 September, 2024.  My pieces are southwestern landscapes with massive clouds.  Please see this great show.  

           Plein Air and Clouds.  In conjunction with the Meteorology show, I am offering two afternoon classes, at Buffalo Park and on the Peaks, to consider clouds and landscapes and how to paint them.  Materials provided include chalk pastels and paper.  Consider also water, a little stool or seat, hat, pencils, sturdy small board to work on, and of course, materials for any medium you are working in.
           Dates are 10 and 17 August, 3-6pm.

Summer Studio Tour, Art 35N, Flagstaff AZ. 7-8 September, 10-5, 2024.  WaringArts Studio will feature southwestern landscapes by me, a Flagstaff artist.  This open studio weekend is a great time to share art and community.  I will be launching my Pine Series at this event.  Hope to see you there.
